This wasn’t just any broadcast—it was a raw, unfiltered connection with listeners right in the heart of Texas. Live radio is a different kind of performance. There are no second takes, no edits—just musicians, microphones, and the moment. That raw energy is exactly what makes these recordings so special.

It was an incredible opportunity to share the music with listeners across Texas, and looking back, you can still feel the excitement of that session. It's a reminder of how powerful live music can be when it's simply allowed to happen.

A Night at Steamboat on 6th Street, Austin Texas - 1998

If you've ever been to Austin, you know why it's called the Live Music Capital of the World.

Playing at the legendary Steamboat on 6th Street was an experience. The venue hosted countless incredible artists over the years, and stepping onto that stage was an honor.

One of the featured clips is Greg's live performance of "She Talks to Angels" by The Black Crowes. The atmosphere that night was everything Austin is known for—great music, passionate crowds, and an unforgettable energy that filled the room from the first note to the last.

We're digging even deeper into the archives with footage from 1991 at the legendary Lulu's in Ontario.

Back to 1991 –Turkey Point Hotel-Bar & Grill, Ontario

Our next stop on our Throwback Thursday from the vault takes us back to the legendary Turkey Point Hotel on May 25, 1991.

For decades, the Turkey Point Hotel was one of Southern Ontario's iconic live music venues—a place where bands earned their stripes, dance floors stayed packed, and weekends were all about live music. It was the kind of room every musician wanted to play.

In this clip, Greg and the band take on "Hard to Handle" by The Black Crowes, capturing the raw energy of an era when every performance was about connecting with the crowd and leaving everything on the stage.

It's hard to believe this footage is 35 years old. While the fashions and equipment may have changed, the passion for making music hasn't.
